PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To enable easy adjustment for a barycenter location of a balance without providing a barycenter ball in a balance in which a horizontal beam constituting a Roberval mechanism is suspended and supported by a band member. SOLUTION: Vertical beams 8a, 8b are rotatably attached to both ends of a horizontal beam 6 that is tiltably supported by a platinum alloy band 20 in a supporting portion 4. Horizontal members 10a, 10b horizontally extending inwards are attached to the upper ends of the vertical beams 8a, 8b. Sample and standard substance mount portions 12a, 12b are provided for mounting measuring samples or standard substances on the top ends of the horizontal members 10a, 10b, and then dead weight mount portions 14a, 14b are provided in the places nearer to the base end sides than the sample and standard substance mount portions 12a, 12b.
