PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an electric power steering device capable of reducing the variation of backlash of a reduction gear. SOLUTION: This electric power steering device 1 has a worm shaft 26 driven by an electric motor 18 for steering assistance; and a worm wheel 27. The worm wheel 27 has a central part 27a formed of metal and an outer peripheral part 27b formed of resin, and is supported by a pair of bearings 28, 29 at both sides clamped in an axial direction. The bearing 29 is retained in a bearing retaining hole 32a of a housing 21 formed of metal and urged in a direction in which the inter-central distance CD of the worm shaft 26 and the worm wheel 27 increases by an urging member 30.
