PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide equipment for manufacturing an optical apparatus for highly accurately and easily adjusting mutual positions of a light modulation device and a color synthesis optical device. SOLUTION: The manufacturing equipment 1 includes: an adjustment light source device 7 for irradiating the light modulation device 140 with an adjustment light flux for position adjustment; a light flux detector 3 for detecting an adjustment light flux through the light modulation device 140 and a prism 150 by being emitted from the adjustment light source device 7 by being arranged so as to face a light flux emission end face 152 of the prism 150; and a position adjustment mechanism 4 for adjusting the mutual positions of the light modulation device 140 and the prism 150 based on the adjustment light flux detected by the light flux detector 3. The adjustment light source device 7 is provided with a support plate arranged so that the end face thereof faces the light modulation device 140, and a plurality of solid emission element arranged along the end face of the support plate, and composed of plane illumination irradiating the adjustment light flux uniformed substantially in an image formation region of the light modulation device 140.
