A GIO(Global Input and Output) line driver having an off-current reduction circuit is provided to minimize an off-current generated in a GIO driver unit during read or write operation. A GIO(Global Input and Output) driver unit(141) outputs a GIO signal in response to a pull-up signal and a pull-down signal of a main sense amplifier. A latch part(142) latches the outputted GIO signal by being connected to the GIO line. An off-current reduction circuit part controls the level of the GIO signal latched in the latch part during a preparation step in response to an off-current generation signal of the GIO driver unit. The off-current reduction circuit part includes a logic assembly part(143) generating a first and a second control signal during the preparation step in response to the off-current generation signal of the GIO driver unit and a reduction circuit part(144) pulling up or pulling down the GIO signal latched in the latch part in response to the first and the second control signal.
