METHOD AND APPARATUS MULTIMEDIA COLLECT CALL SERVICE IN A MOBILE COMMUNICATION SYSTEM

A method and an apparatus for providing a multimedia collect call service in a mobile communication system are provided to confirm the face of a transmitter and to implement a call connection with a desired person. A transmission terminal transmits the message for setting the setup for connecting the bearer to an MSC(Mobile Switching center)(220). The MSC transmits a response about the preparation completion of the bearer connection to the transmission terminal(225). The MSC instructs the connection of a multimedia collect call server in order to apply the multimedia collect call(230). The MSC offers the ring back tone relating to the progress instructor and the call connection set by the previously determined value through an "Alerting" message to the transmission terminal. The transmission terminal receives the progress instructor and checks whether the progress instructor has the determined value(235). When the progress instructor has the determined value, the transmission terminal connects the first multimedia path with the multimedia collect call server according to H.324m. The transmission terminal performs the paging relating to a receiving terminal and transmits the setup message having the progress instructor(240). The receiving terminal transmits the response relating to the setup message to the transmission terminal(245) and outputs the ring back tone(250).
