A display device is provided to mark a specific shape when the display device is not driven, since a color layer is formed in a light reflecting area of a sub pixel corresponding to the shape. An LCD(Liquid Crystal Display,1) comprises an LC(Liquid Crystal) panel(2) and a backlight(3). A sub pixel(10) has a light reflecting area and a light transmitting area. A display area(9) is composed by arranging the sub pixels in a matrix form. A color layer corresponding to a shape that a user wants to mark in the display area is formed in the light reflecting area of the sub pixel corresponding to the shape, so that the shape is displayed while the LCD is turned off.
