An organic electroluminescence device is provided to realize an improved response rate, high output and excellent light intensity, and to obtain an optical interconnection module by simply coupling an optical waveguide with the organic electroluminescence device. An organic electroluminescence device comprises a first electrode layer, an organic layer having a light emitting layer, and a second electrode layer, wherein the light emitting layer comprises at least one material selected from the group consisting of 4,4-bis(2,2-ditolylvinyl)biphenyl, 2-(4-tert-butylphenyl)-5- (4-biphenylyl)-1,3,4-oxadiazole, 1,4-bis[2-[4-[N,N-di(p-tolyl)amino]phenyl]vinyl] benzene, and 4,4'-bis(9-ethyl-3-carbazovinylene)-1,1'-biphenyl, and the light emitting layer has a fluorescence life of 3.0 ns or less.
