PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a new road width calculation system for calculating the width of a new road which is added to map information stored in a navigation device etc. SOLUTION: In the system, traveling locus information generated when vehicles 3 serving as probe cars travel along roads that are not included in navigation map data 53 is transmitted to a map distribution center 2 as probe data, and, the map distribution center 2 that receives the traveling locus information from the navigation device 4 of each of the vehicles 3 gathers the received data and calculates a road width of a new road based on the traveling locus of the gathered traveling locus information.
