PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To suppress noise and vibration which are generated by the restoration of twist accumulated between a motor and a wheel at the stop of a vehicle when changing a shift position of a transmission, in an electric vehicle. SOLUTION: In this control device of the electric vehicle which comprises a vehicle driving electric motor, and a transmission whose shift position is changed in the order of at least a forward range to a backward range to a parking range, there is provided a vehicle stop state determination means 8 which detects a vehicle speed at zero, and a twist removal control means 7 which controls the motor so as to generate reverse torque by an amount for removing the twist between the motor and the wheel after the shift position of the transmission is changed from the forward range to the other range other than the forward range at the vehicle speed at zero. Since the twist between the motor and the wheel can be removed before the insertion of a park-lock pin, a pin-hitting sound and vibration can be suppressed. COPYRIGHT: (C)2008,JPO&INPIT
