<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a fixing method for quickly solidifying resin with fixer and preventing an image degradation. Ž<P>SOLUTION: Only an inner layer part I of a liquid ultraviolet-curing resin D, which is in contact with a toner image T, is solidified (or, the viscosity of only the inner layer part I is increased) and an outer layer part O is still in a liquid state by irradiating the toner image T on a recording medium P from a first ultraviolet ray irradiation source 54 with the ultraviolet rays (within the range of frequency from 220 to 260 nm). Then, the ultraviolet-curing resin D whose inner layer part I is solidified (or the viscosity is increased) is irradiated with the ultraviolet rays (within the range of frequency from 365 to 400 nm) from the second ultraviolet ray irradiation source 56.
