<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To enable a base station to correctly receive information on a transmission channel even if transmission power demanded by the base station is beyond the maximum transmission power of a terminal. Ž<P>SOLUTION: The mobile communication terminal includes an amplitude regulator 3 for regulating the amplitudes of signals of transmission channels DPDCH, DPCCH and HS-DPCCH, a transmission-power controller 17 for controlling a power-distribution ratio for adjustment of transmission power of the individual transmission channels, and a priority-channel selector 38 for choosing a priority channel from the individual transmission channels. If the total transmission power is going to exceed the maximum transmission power when the power-distribution ratio is controlled depending on transmission power demanded by the base station, the transmission-power controller 17 determines the power-distribution ratio among the individual transmission channels by adjusting the transmission power of the priority transmission channel to the demanded transmission power and also controlling the transmission power of the non-priority channels so as to confine the total transmission power within the maximum transmission power.
