PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide heat-treated beans for redbean rice, hardly causing slits when rice cooking, and making the beans softly be boiled without causing color unevenness, a method for producing the same, and redbean rice using the beans.SOLUTION: Heat-treated beans for redbean rice have a moisture content of heat-treated beans of 35-50 mass%, and a calcium concentration of 600 ppm or more, and comprise by packaging by dry pack at a gas-containing ratio of 4% or more (volume ratio) to the heat-treated beans. Redbean rice as redbean rice using the heat-treated beans packaged by dry pack is such that: a ratio of the number of grains of beans with slits to the number of whole grains of the beans after rice cooking is 10% or less; and a moisture content of the beans after rice cooking is 50 mass% or more.SELECTED DRAWING: None |
