<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image forming apparatus in which a paper jam can easily be removed by allowing manual turn of a transport roller. <P>SOLUTION: A dial 110 for manually rotating a transport roller 11 that transports paper 3 passing a paper feed path is disposed in the process cartridge storage 57 of a housing 2 such that part of the operation part 111 of the dial 110 is exposed. The rotary shaft of the dial 110 is disposed coaxially with the auger shaft that moves in interlocking with the transport roller 11. The interlocked movement of the auger 104 and transport roller 11 takes place by the engagement of an auger gear and transport gear disposed on the respective shafts. Driving force from a drive motor is transmitted to the transport gear via a planetary gear. In the event of the paper jam, the planetary gear is moved by the operation of the dial 110.
