<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an optical pickup system which can prevent the sagging of a flexible wiring board when a power source terminal of a laser disposed in an optical system block and the printed circuit board are connected with the flexible wiring board. <P>SOLUTION: The optical pickup system is equipped with an optical system block 1 which is freely movable along a guide shaft disposed along an optical recording medium. The connection of the printed circuit board 2 disposed in the structure to be superposed on the optical system block 1 and the power source terminal 4 of a laser element projected to an outer peripheral surface of the optical system block 1 is performed by the bent flexible wiring board 13. The connection part of the flexible wiring board 13 with the power source terminal 4 of the laser element has such a structure that pads 16 are positioned at recessed parts 13d arranged in a notched shape from an edge 13c of the flexible wiring board 13.
