PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To solve a problem in which it takes time to update firmware of a peripheral device.SOLUTION: In a video generation device 300 which is connected with a peripheral device via a video relay device 200, a version acquisition unit 10 obtains information on the version of firmware installed in the video relay device 200, from the video relay device 200. An update request unit 30 supplies, when the version of firmware installed in the video relay device 200 is older than the version of firmware which is requested by basic software installed in the video generation device 300, the video relay device 200 with firmware for a relay device which is included in the basic software, and updates the firmware installed in the video relay device 200.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 4
