PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an ignition coil for internal combustion engine capable of ensuring the insulation properties, without making difficult to attach or detach a spark plug to or from a plug cap.SOLUTION: A spark plug having an insulator including a corrugationless insulator head is assembled to an ignition coil for internal combustion engine. The ignition coil for internal combustion engine has a coil body and a joint 4. The joint 4 has a plug gap 5 consisting of a cylindrical elastic member, into which the insulator head of the spark plug is fitted. The plug gap 5 has an adhesion part 6, the inner peripheral surface of which adheres to the outer peripheral surface of the insulator. The adhesion part 6 has a distal end side adhesion part 61 closer to the distal end side than the central position in the axial direction X, and a proximal end side adhesion part 62 closer to the proximal end side than the central position. At least a part of the proximal end side adhesion part 62, a strong tense force part 7, where the tense force for fastening the insulator head, is stronger than that at any position of the distal end side adhesion part 61 is formed.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 2 |
