PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To enable an automatic engine stop to be appropriately executed taking into consideration driver's intention.SOLUTION: An engine stop and start control device automatically stops an engine 11 when a vehicle satisfies a predetermined automatic stop condition and restarts the same when the vehicle satisfies a predetermined restart condition. The engine stop and start control device has: change means which changes the automatic stop condition, depending on operation of a driver, from an initial condition to a specific condition specified on the basis of the operation; and initialization means which executes an initialization process to return the automatic stop condition to the initial condition regardless of the operation when an initialization execution condition is satisfied with the automatic stop condition changed to the specific condition.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1 |
