Prepn. of material for improving soil, or earth for flowers, by composting material high in nutrients comprises mixing the material with the woody waste (I) from flax processing. Pref. (I) comprises more than 10% of the material, and is pretreated by purificn. or thermal treatment, or by pre-rotting. (I) is added before composting. USE/ADVANTAGE - The materials can be applied directly to the ground without damaging the plants. The nutrients are available to the plants.
