APPARATUS FOR MONITORING SNOW ATTACHED TO TRAIN

PURPOSE:To monitor the attaching state of snow to apparatuses beneath the floor of the rolling stock of a train readily. CONSTITUTION:A measuring sensor A 100 is provided at an arbitrary observing point A along the line of a track 1 on which a train rolling stock 2 runs. When a high-speed vision sensor 107 of the measuring sensor 100 detects the second specified part of the rolling stock 2, a photographing timing signal is imparted to a high-speed image sensing part 102 from a control means 105. The image of the first specified part, to which snow is liable to attach, beneath the floor of the rolling stock 2 is picked up with the high-speed image sensing part 102. The image is sent into a monitoring center 10 through a communication circuit 110 and displayed on an attached-snow monitor 14. The thickness of the attached snow is obtained with an image processing and digitizing means 16 and displayed on the attached-snow monitor 14.
