PREPARATION OF NYLON 66 CONTAINING TITANIUM OXIDE

PURPOSE:To disperse uniformly titanium oxide in the form of minute particles even when nylon 66 is manufactured batchwise in a polymerizer having a heating element inside by the addition of acetic acid or a manganese compound. CONSTITUTION:The time of addition of titanium oxide slurry is controlled to be within T/3 hour from the feed of nylon 66 salt and after T/5 hour from the addition of acetic acid or a manganese compound. The total polymerization time (T hours) is controlled to be not more than two hours.
