PURPOSE:To provide a thermally expansive microcapsule which can expand at lower temperature without deteriorating the properties such as resistance to heat and resistance to chemicals. CONSTITUTION:A thermally expansive microcapsule includes two or more kinds of low boiling temperature hydrocarbons whose boiling temperatures are mutually different and an equal to or lower than softening point of a polymer composing the husk, its manufacturing method and an expanding method of the thermall expansive microcapsule to expand by reheating the microcapsule after preheating at the temperature equal to or lower than the expansion starting temperature of the microcapsule are provided.
