<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a path search circuit for reducing the time required for path searching and decreasing the power consumption, the path search circuit used for a mobile terminal of a CDMA mobile communication system and applying inverse spread to a pilot signal from a base station to synchronize the frame timing and to detect the multipath. <P>SOLUTION: A spread code generating unit 3 receives a present spread code a<SB>i+1</SB>outputted from a linear feedback shift register 1, generates future spread codes a<SB>i+2</SB>to a<SB>i+7</SB>by 6 chips, and outputs the spread codes a<SB>i+1</SB>to a<SB>i+7</SB>by 7 chips in parallel while incrementing the value i from 0 by one each. Multipliers 4<SB>j</SB>(where j=1 to 7) multiply an input signal x<SB>k</SB>with the spread code a<SB>i+j</SB>outputted at an output terminal 3<SB>j</SB>of the spread code generating unit 3.
