An arrangement for applying a flowing material onto a cooling band passing below it, includes a rotating drum with circumferential openings, as well as a heating cover unit. The heating cover can be moved about an axis which is perpendicular to the drum rotational axis, and has a releasable flap section. The cover is pref. attached to a swivel arm. USE/ADVANTAGE - The arrangement is used in conjunction with granulating units, and is simple and reliable.
