CONJUGATED LINOLENIC ACID (CLNATM) COMPOSITIONS: SYNTHESIS, PURIFICATION AND USES

The invention relates to the discovery that CLnA.TM. compounds induce apoptosis of cancer cells. The activity of CLnA.TM. was demonstrated in two human breast cancer lines (breast cancer cells MCF-7 and MDA-MB-231), using MTT assay and fluorescence - based assay. Our results suggest that CLnA.TM. has a cytotoxic activity and induce apoptosis in human solid tumors cells lines. Therefore may be used for the treatment of cancer, including advanced cancer.
