IMMERSION NOZZLE FOR CONTINUOUSLY CASTING STEEL

摘要

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an immersion nozzle which is used for continuous casting of steel and has remarkably increased erosion resistance in a slag line portion of the nozzle.

SOLUTION: Refractory material composed of <5 mass% C (graphite), 4-25 mass% BN (boron nitride) and 75-96 mass% ZrO2(zirconia) is used as a refractory material 1 in the slag line of the immersion nozzle for the continuous casting of steel.
