CONDUCTOR CONNECTION WITH PTC ELEMENT

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To connect conductors, without taking account of the shorting with contacts holding a PTC element by bending bus bar ends to form contacts and offsetting the contacts to electrically connect them each other through this element. SOLUTION: A conductor connection 1 with a PTC element 30 is composed of a pair of bus bars 10, 20 which are punched metal plate-like conductors bent at the ends 11, 21 and housed in an electric connection box when being used. The connection 1 is such that the bus bar ends 11, 21 are bent to form contacts 11a, 11b, 21a, which are offset and electrically connected each other through the element 30. Owing to the offsetting of the contacts, if a very thin PTC element is used, the connection can be made, without taking account of the shorting due to the mutual touch of the contacts.
