By actuating a control element an incoming call is accepted but no speech connection is established with the caller. Instead a stored text is announced, requesting the caller to hold the line. After further actuation of the control element, speech connection is established with the caller. In this way disturbing call signals can be eliminated quickly without causing unnecessary delay in accepting the call. |
