The invention concerns a method for locating a vehicle comprising a positioning system (1), for instance a GPS receiver, characterised in that it consists in: recording, on first memorising means (4) mounted in the vehicle, a series of positions supplied by the positioning means (1), working out a trajectory on the basis of said positions, comparing the trajectory obtained with the portions of the neighbouring roads previously stored in second memorising means (11), for determining the road where the vehicle is located. |
