<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To eliminate time loss due to useless procedures and to shorten the time required for communication by omitting the re-execution of a pre-message procedure in the case that a reception side can not cope with requested ability. SOLUTION: A central processing unit 200 connects a line with a reception side facsimile through a modem 208 and an NCU 210, performs the procedure of a pre-message and stores the confirmed ability information of the reception side facsimile, that is DIS, in a memory part 202. When the transmission of original images equivalent to one page is ended and the change of control setting by the change of the resolution and sheet size, etc., of an original to be transmitted is requested, the ability information of the reception side facsimile stored in the memory part 202 is referred to, and in the case that the ability of the reception side facsimile can not perform coping, the transmission of the original image of the next page is immediately started without re-executing the pre-message procedure.</p> |
