<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a variable shape gamma ray camera. SOLUTION: A variable shape gamma ray camera has detectors 22a to 22c fixed movably in circumferential direction concerning a rotary gantry 30. The rotary gantry 30 has a bore in radial direction in desired angle position around the rotary gantry 30. The stationary gantry 18 has a dock station like bore. With a connection mechanism, the detectors 22a to 22c are connected to the bore of rotary gantry 30 or connected to the dock station. Each of the detectors 22a to 22c can be moved in radial direction for rotary shaft of the rotary gantry 30 and in tangential direction for the image region. The gamma ray camera can be easily deformed among detector shape for 120 degrees, perpendicular detector shape and facing detector shape and also can define a plurality of aperture dimensions.</p> |
