The device has a first supporting partner (S1) contg. a superimposed magnetic field which is substantially uniform in a direction for transport and/or bearing requirements, whereas it varies markedly transversely. The second support partner (S2) consists of a superconducting dense material and/or of permanent magnets. The first magnetic support partner consists of at least two pole regions with its magnetic axis transverse to the direction of motion and to the supporting force, whereby a flux guide is provided through ferromagnetic material on the pole edges. The height (lM) of the first partner is at least equal to the pole width ( bM) of one pole region. The first partner is magnetised by permanent magnets of width 70 to 80 per cent of the pole width and about ten timers the float height (hS). Elements blocking or closing the magnetic circuit are mounted on the underside of the first support partner. |
