In apparatus for sealing a dry chemical analysis film, a laser torch projects a laser beam onto a predetermined area of the chemical analysis film and heat-seals the surface of the chemical analysis film in the area. A surrounding member surrounds the predetermined area of the chemical analysis film to be heat-sealed, and a suction member evacuates the inside of the surrounding member, thereby rapidly discharging outside the surrounding member a substance which is generated from the predetermined area of the chemical analysis film during heat-sealing and can deteriorate the performance of the chemical analysis film.
