PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To execute remote control and/or operation of a field device in a run time environment by sending a program code describing the device function from the field device to a controller and then executing the program code in a run time environment. SOLUTION: A JAVA byte code of a memory 202 is generated by a JAVA compiler 204 by means of a JAVA source code of a file 203. An exclusive JAVA processor 205 executes the JAVA byte code via a field device, and the JAVA byte code is sent to a controller 208 via a field bus 206. In this example, the JAVA byte code is schematically shown on a connection line 213 and filed in a memory 202a. As the JAVA byte code is not dependent on a platform, an object related to parameter description can be used in the controller 208 in a JAVA run time environment and also via an adequate work plane.
