<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide such an apparatus for treating a waste contg. a harmful component, that is characterized in that a harmful component contained in a waste to be treated is decomposed and the treated waste after decomposition is subjected to vol. reduction by carbonization, etc., that the heating in a heating oven is performed by using a hot gas, and that the hot gas after being used for heating is utilized for drying the vol.-reduced waste, thus enabling effective utilization of heat energy. SOLUTION: A waste contg. a harmful component is thermally treated in a first heating oven 10 to be decomposed and to precipitate the harmful component; then the waste freed of the harmful component is carbonized (is converted into ash) in a second heating oven 20 to be reduced in vol.; and the carbonization product contg. no harmful component is taken out and is reused. The first and second heating ovens 10, 20 are heated with a hot gas from a combustion apparatus 35, and the hot gas used for heating is sent through a discharge pipe 38 to a dryer 39 to be reused therein.</p> |
