<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an aqueous ink for inkjet recording having a high printing density and excellent storage stability, etc. <P>SOLUTION: The ink consists of an aqueous dispersion of water-insoluble vinyl polymer particles containing a colorant. The polymer is a water-insoluble vinyl polymer formed by polymerizing a monomer mixture comprising (A) a monomer of formula (I) (wherein R<SB>1</SB>is a hydrogen atom or a lower alkyl group, R<SB>2</SB>is a 2-18C alkylene group or a 2-4C alkylene group with a hydrogen atom substituted by a phenyl group, n is a number of 2-29, and R<SB>3</SB>is an 8-30C linear/branched alkyl group), (B) a monomer containing a salt-forming group and (C) a hydrophobic monomer. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2005,JPO&NCIPI |
