PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To collect dust by sweeping and to suck dust from the sucking port of a sucking part into a dust collecting part together with air by providing the dust collecting part, which communicates with the sucking part having the sucking port provided near the surface of a floor, on the upstream side of the air blowing path of a motor-driven air blower. SOLUTION: Concerning an electric cleaner 100, by turning on a power source switch 130 after collecting dust in front of a sucking port 121 of a sucking part 120 by sweeping by a mop or the like, dust is sucked from the sucking port 121 into a dust collecting chamber 140 together with air and taken into a dust bag 141 inside the dust collecting chamber 40. Concerning this electric cleaner 100, fine powdery dust is removed from air passing through the dust bag 141 by an air filter 142 in the dust collecting chamber 140 and further the air passes through an air filter 160A and a deodorizing filter 160B of an exhausting part 160 and is exhausted from an exhausting port 161 so that the environment in the room is not made adverse by exhausted air.
