PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a game system improving the amusement of a game by modifying game elements effecting a player's selection of characters' actions. SOLUTION: This system comprises a display device, an input device, and a game control device for displaying plural characters including at least one character 111 set as a subject to be controlled by a player on a game display screen 100 and making each character perform an action according to a prescribed program by referring to the output signal from the input device. In the system, counting synchronizing with the progress of the game is executed by a counting means mounted corresponding to the character of the subject to be controlled. When the value counted by the counting means reaches a prescribed value, a process necessary for making the character 111 perform an action according to the command from the player via the input device is executed. Then, when the character starts to perform the action based on the process, the counted value of the counting means is made to recede by the quantity corresponding to the kind of the action started by the character.
