A faster for fastening a golf ball cleaning device to clothing wherein the fastener has a base portion secured to the back surface of the golf ball cleaning device and a pair of resilient spaced retaining legs extending from the base portion parallel wit h and spaced from the back surface of the golf ball cleaning device. The legs form a slot for insertion and retention therein of a button having an extent of clothing thereover.
