The method for assembling a mixed profile from an aluminum profile (A) and a plastic profile (P) comprises inserting a tenon (19) on the plastic profile into a groove (9) on the aluminum profile, either at an angle or horizontally. The lower limb (10) of the groove has a hook (15) near its outer end which fits into a groove (23) on the tenon, allowing it to be pre-positioned before clicking into place.
