PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a composition used as a base of a product for styling and/or fixing the hair, to provide a method for using the same, and to prepare a treatment for giving visual effects (a gloss, a color tone, or the like) to a keratin fiber, especially, to the hair. SOLUTION: The composition contains (a) at least one film-forming polymer and (b) at least one electrically-conductive polymer in a cosmetically acceptable medium, wherein the electrically-conductive polymer preferably has at least one repeating unit comprising, especially, aniline, pyrrole, thiophene or bisthiophene, furan, p-phenylenesulfide, p-phenylenevinylene, indole, an aromatic amide, an aromatic hydrazide, an aromatic azomethine, and an aromatic ester type.
