Winter feed for cattle consists of dried pellets made of between 10 and 50 preferably 10% stinging nettles, and between 10 and 90 preferably 90% filling material especially steamed potatoes. The pellets are prepared from chopped, dried nettles mixed with potatoes, pressed into noodles or cut forms which are then dried and stored until required. The filling part of the mixture may also consist of green cabbages, sugar beet, carrots, sweet corn and similar. An Independent claim is also included for a press assembly for the preparation of the pellets. The assembly is a mincer press discharging to an endless conveyer grid belt over a hot air blower to a collector container. A downwards-directed radiator is positioned over the belt. |
