PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a rear projection display apparatus, etc., in which reductions in size and thickness are achieved by eliminating the need for a projecting part formed on the lower side. SOLUTION: The display apparatus 1 includes: a projector 3 for emitting image light; a first curved mirror 4 for horizontally diffusing image light emitted from the projector 3; a second curved mirror 5 for vertically diffusing image light reflected by the first curved mirror 4; and a Fresnel lens 7 for making the image light reflected by the second curved mirror 5 parallel; and a screen 8 for displaying the image light made parallel by the Fresnel lens 7. The display apparatus 1 further includes a housing 2 accommodating the projector 3 and the first and second curved mirrors 4 and 5 and having the Fresnel lens 7 and screen 8 on its front face. It is preferable that the projector 3 and the first and second mirrors 4 and 5 be disposed in the central area of the inside part of the housing 2. The rear projection display apparatus can be installed even in a place where an installation space of the display apparatus is limited to the central area as in the case of a pachinko base.
