PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a cellular phone system which can generate an announcement for an answering machine capable of correctly notifying an opposite party of information about the reason of not answering a phone call, and can register the announcement in an answering machine center when the power supply of the cellular phone is turned off because a user attends a conference or other reasons. SOLUTION: An operation of rejecting incoming calls in the cellular phone in such a case that the power supply of the cellular phone is turned off, thereby causing the function of creating an announcement for answering machine to work. The creating means proposes a previously stored template to a user. The user utilizes the proposed template to create an announcement sentence for answering machine. The created announcement sentence is sound-synthesized to create an announcement and registered in an answering machine center. With this configuration, the user can create the appropriate announcement for answering machine with a simple operation and register it in the answering machine center. COPYRIGHT: (C)2008,JPO&INPIT
