The auxillary handle 1 can be attached to and detached from a garden tool e.g. a spade 10, via a hook arrangement 3 which engages with a ring 6 connected to the shaft of the spade by a clamp 7. The spade can move relative to the auxillary handle such that its normal use is not impeded. The auxillary handle, which may be adjustable in length, reduces the degree to which a user of the tool has to bend in use of the tool. The auxillary handle may be attached to other garden tools such as a shovel or fork in a similar manner. |
