The headrest (10) has a cushion (P) with a cushion carrier (T) and is held at a backrest (R) of a vehicle seat (F) by a holding unit, particularly support rod. The headrest has a base part (11) and an adjustment elements (12a,12b). The adjustment element is fixed at the holding unit by a bearing device which is relatively mobile to the base part. The adjustment element is adjusted by the bearing device between two positions, where the adjustment element is formed as part of headrest in the former position and formed as part of child seat in latter position.
