RECEIVING DEVICE AND PORTABLE RECEPTION DEVICE EMPLOYING THE SAME

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To extend a television reception enabled time when a residual current amout of a battery is small.

SOLUTION: A receiving device is disclosed which comprises: a reception section 17 for receiving a high frequency signal; a demodulation section 21 to which output of the receiving section 17 is connected; a demodulation output terminal 23 from which a demodulation signal from the demodulation section 21 is outputted; and a reception control section 27 for switching reception conditions of the receiving section. The reception control section 27 includes a battery signal input terminal 31 to which a battery residual signal representing a residual current of a battery 11a is supplied and when the residual current amout of the battery 11a is small, the reception control section 27 switches reception conditions of normal power to reception conditions of low power consumption.
