PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To always hold respective lap parts in a noncontact state, even when the lap parts of a fixed scroll and a turning scroll are thermally deformed in compressive operation. Ž
SOLUTION: An outer peripheral surface 24C is chipped in a thickness in an inside part in the radial direction more than an intermediate part in the radial direction of the lap part 24 extending in a spiral shape in the lap part 24 of the fixed scroll 21, and an inner peripheral surface 24D is chipped in a thickness in an outside part in the radial direction more than the intermediate part in the radial direction. Thus, a clearance between a mating lap part 28 and itself is respectively formed larger than the intermediate part in the radial direction in the inside part in the radial direction and the outside part in the radial direction of the lap part 24. Even the lap part 28 of the turning scroll 25 is also chipped in a thickness in a part in a position similar to the lap part 24. Thus, a clearance between a mating lap part 24 and itself is respectively formed larger than the intermediate part in the radial direction in the outside part in the radial direction and the inside part in the radial direction of the lap part 28.
