<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a solid fuel having a stable calorific value by using waste wood material, used paper and waste thermoplastic resin in a balanced manner. Ž<P>SOLUTION: The solid fuel comprises a mixture of wood chips with a size of 1-25 mm, paper chips with a size of 1-25 mm and a thermoplastic resin. The fuel is produced by shaping a mixture comprising 5-15 pts.wt. of the thermoplastic resin based on 85-95 pts.wt. of the total weight of the wood chips and the paper chips at a weight ratio of the wood chips to the paper chips of from 20:80 to 90:10.
