The invention relates to a shoot boll assembly for mounting in a groove formed in a side edge of a panel, the assembly including a handle mechanism, a shoot bolt and a rod to connect the handle mechanism to the shoot bolt so that, actuation of the handle mechanism causes the shoot bolt to extend and retract from a top or bottom edge of the panel, wherein the assembly includes a hinge block arranged to fit in the groove, the hinge block having a deck with attachment holes for a hinge and fixing platforms that secure the block to a base of the groove, wherein a passage is provided beneath the deck and platforms for the rod to pass through. The invention also relates to a hinge block for the shoot bolt assembly, a folding panel system and a method of constructing a panel. |
