PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image display device including the 0-th order light, capable of effectively suppressing the luminance unevenness for each region by dividing an image into regions in accordance with the distance from the 0-th order light.SOLUTION: A parameter setting unit 45 sets parameters for adjusting prepared original image information for each of a plurality of image regions 320, 330, and 340 with different distances from an image in a 0-th order light irradiation region 310 to be irradiated with the 0-th order light from a light diffusion unit 17. Based on the set parameters, an image information generation unit 47 adjusts the original image information for each image region and generates the display image information.
